Mini Cakes - Varied

Mini Cakes - Varied on Cake Central

This is my first try at mini's. They were so much fun...can't wait to do more. You can see the little area on the front one that I had to repair...just didn't have time to do it prior to taking the photo!!

Yes...I cut the boards from cardboard and covered them with the silver paper. Very time consuming for sure!!

That's for sure...oldboots! I've looked online for small pre-cut cardboard but the smallest I can find is 6"X6". If I had to do 100 of them I would hire it out to a teenager for a flat rate! Can anyone think of something else to use??

They are gorgeous to look at!!! Did you cut them freehand or use some type of cutter? Great variety of decorations and color!!!

I found a pan at Tuesday Morning that had ovals..like a muffin pan..about 3 inches deep though. So these are baked in this shape. They are about 3X4 when completed. Yes, they are covered in fondant with a bit of buttercream underneath. I make gumpaste and royal icing flowers, leaves, etc most everyday and keep them in airtight container. I went through the containers and picked out ones to use on top.

Again these are adorable...............but if you had to do 100 you would not want to be cutting boards and covering them!!!!
