In album: 50th-anniversary
Made for a couple who eloped. The wife said she has waited 50 years for a wedding cake.

Inspired by a Colette Peters cake. White cake with lemon curd filling - 16", 12", 8", and 6" rounds. Iced in buttercream with royal icing flowers.

This cake was a collaborative effort. My mother did the flower arrangments. My aunt helped bake, mix icing, place flowers on sides, and setup. I planned, iced and decorated the cake, made the flowers, and was the "construction engineer".

Thank you! The client's only requests were that it have a 50th anniversary topper and to incorporate purple.

It took several weeks to make the flowers. I would pop in a good movie while I worked.
