I took one of those BIG tootsie rolls, the thick ones the size of your thumb. I did not heat it up, I just pinched a large piece off the end, formed it to the shape of a hershey kiss or a little cone, then started on the petals. I pinched off smaller pieces and flattened them out, tried to get them as smooth as possible, then just stuck them on the tootsie 'cone'. I used the same rule of thumb as the Wilton rose, 3 petals around the top, the a row of 5, then 7. The leaf is also tootsie, just a green one.
