50Th Birthday Leopard Print
This is a cake I made for my neighbor's jungle themed 50th birthday party. The leopard spots are painted directly on the buttercream. The zebra print band is with MMF. Many thanks go to Sugarflowers who gave me this idea...my version is nowhere near as good as her award winning cake!

Love the theme and everything just great. How exactly do you paint on to buttercream? I ask this b/c I spent 8 hours starring a 3 tiered jungle print cake- different look- I could save myself from sleep deprivation.

I like how you incorporated Happy Birthday into the zebra stripes.

Thank you for all your nice comments! It's hard to notice because of a glare but I also have 50 painted into the stripes on the top layer. For the painting on the BC, I let it crust overnight and mixed some of the gel color with a few drops of vodka to thin it out a bit, then used paintbrushes to softly paint the spots on. Had to be very careful not to press to hard or it would push through the crust! :D
