I agree about the culture thing... indians love their indian sweets and cake is one thing that they are not very fond of... Being of "indian" background and being a cake decorator... I know!

Well the cake was bought more for show then for eating, so picking up the bottom board today we found enough cake for 150 people left....tough to see your work just sitting there waiting for the garbage! UGH~!

Too gorgeous not to tell us!!! Are the flowers and leaves all gumpaste or fondant? EVERYTHING is beautiful!!

Beautiful cake! Why on earth didn't they eat it?!? Man, pretty expensive to not enjoy! Your flowers are great!

Thanks, I guess to be fair they did pay for it, so I shouldnt feel too sad :), but I was told that they were Indian and that culture isnt one to eat traditional "American" wedding cake. Wedding was at 6, cake was cut at 11 and by then most of the guests had left. All the flowers and leaves were of gumpaste and one bunch came back with us even!

Why on earth wouldn't they take it home and FREEZE the left overs??!! It is an OUTSTANDINGLY beautiful cake! Your flowers are so perfect, it's breathtaking! Don't worry about it...it's a stunning cake and I'm SURE it was delicious!
