Pink & White Orchids

Pink & White Orchids on Cake Central

This was a small wedding of 30 guests, so I just did an 8" and 11". We priced the fresh orchids...oh my $$$...so we just went with these artificial flowers. I was really happy with how real they looked and the bride was relieved at the price!

Thanks. My "secret" I guess is really warm buttercream and a sturdy turntable. I use the largest plastic scraper I can find too. My coworker even uses a plastering tool for her cakes. It's nice and sturdy and never warps.

Wow, you get your cakes smoother than Martha herself! (Yes, I've actually zoomed in on some she made on her website!) Still learning with the IMBC though.

Beautiful.....your border is so perfect! I think between your cakes and cookies maybe I need to come take private lessons from you!

Wow!! Smoother than Martha's? I'd like that on a t-shirt!!! The flowers are just from a local florist shop. They came on a "stick" of about 10 orchids for $15.00
