8" cake with marshmallow fondant decorations and gold "painted" ribbons and shimmer dust on the rest.

Well the gold I used two coats of the dust mixed with lemon extract. Then when it was drying I kept going over it with the brush. The other dust is either blown or shaken onto the cake and flowers.

This is just beautiful. Can you tell me if you can really eat the decorations or do they get hard like fondant if not covered?

I don't understand the "painting" with the luster dust. Did the ribbon start white? If so, I can't believe you got it that beautiful of a gold. What were the amounts of dust to extract? Any help.

Yes they started white and then I painted them with lemon extract mixed with super gold dust...just mix it until it looks like paint. I went over them twice.
