Finally did it, was actually pretty easy though didn't plan on the hot day and the long drive (the small tire fell off (that's why it's icky) and a kiddie finger got to the big tire before the pic..  Thanks for looking, and to those of you who gave me 'tire' advice (4" pan and cupcakes" - Wilton Icing)

Hi this is a really good cake. I am currently planning a tractor cake I have coming up. Can you tell me what your back wheels are made of, is it just all fondant? As my cake is going to be very big and I've already created 1 tyre and it's so heavy it can't hold it's shape without flattening the bottom! Thank you!

Hi Jasmin... I am so sorry - but I made this sooooo long ago that I don't remember exactly what I used except that I wrote that I used the 4" cake pan. I usually freeze them then do the icing - no fondant on the tire except the two little yellow dots. I just smooth it out with a little hot water to get it smooth and shiny. I do remember actually trying to use a couple cake doughnuts for another one that worked really well also. As for it not holding the shape if yours is too big... my only sugges...
