My Daughter's 9Th Birthday Cake
Here's the gumpaste figure that I posted earlier. The cake is an 8" round 3" tall yellow cake that's torted twice and has the following fillings: chocolate fudge and whipped cream. The icing, is my daughter's request, pink and cherry flavored. Used Kool-Aid to meet her requirements. Everyone raved, kids and adults alike, but since I hate cherry flavoring I didn't care for it (at least the outer part).

Thanks so much for the comments, gismo, jules and mb! They mean a lot to me! The color of the icing was in large part due to adding the Kool-aid which also flavored the icing cherry. The writing is from nine years of Roman Catholic School (lol). I received many compliments from the children attending the party and even the adults on that icing, go ahead and make it for your son; he'll love it.
