Tuscan Wedding Cake!

Tuscan Wedding Cake! on Cake Central

This cake measures: 10", 8", 6" tiers. Decorations are made of MMF with tons of Luster Dust! By the way, I made the cracks on purpose! I thought it gave the cake an Old World look. I think this cake would be ideal for a wine tasting party or a wedding in a vinyard with lots of grapes on it rather than leaves. Cake for thought! LOL!

I just used my fingers and a lot of patience! That's it! Strands of fondant, twisted together to create a rope. Course, I put a leaf here and there...wherever, the ends would stop. LOL!! Then, the rope was dusted with antique gold luster dust.

Newbie here, do you paint the luster dust dry or do you mix it with lemon extract? I would love to try it. Where do you get your luster dust? I admire such a unique and gorgeous cake. 8O

I do love the colors too. It does give it an old world look. Like sleepy hollow or something. :D How did you do the colors and the cracks? I'm sure its hard to make cracks in the fondant on purpose.
