In response to mgdqueen, I have a trick for making the edible photo picture show up so well on chocolate/dark icing cakes. After icing the cake with chocolate ganache or chocolate/dark-colored BC, I let the cake's icing set & form a slight crust. Then I smooth a thin layer of white BC in the area where I will be placing the transfer on the cake. As soon as I have that "window of white BC" in place & smoothed, while it's still wet, I immediately put the transfer there & smooth it with a fondant smo...
