great cake!! what did you make the hat with? how about the piece of paper. I would love to attempt something like this.
The paper is wafer paper that I printed with edible ink and the cap is gumpaste. I used the bottom of a one cup glass measuring cup to form the cap (be sure to grease it to get it off, lesson learned the hard way). The board on the cap is gumpaste as well, I think it was about 4 in square.
