Dr. Yellow Cake Mix
This was done for my cousins b-day. She wanted chocolate and I only had yellow cake mix. I had to make it this morning because the event was at 6pm. I had no way to the store. Sooooooooo thanks to a few people here, they gave me ideas. So I decided to add 8 tablespoons of cocoa powder. It came out wonderful!!! Chocolate (yellow) cake with whipped cream icing.. first try on swiss dots too.. (freehand)
Honestly I eyeball it..LOL this is exactly what I do.. I add my vanilla first (2 tablespoons I love this stuff), 1/3 cup of powdered sugar then a regular size tub of whipped cream. I start mixing it on low, when I see it all getting mixed I set it on medium high and then just watch it. You will see it form lumps. (I have KA mixer) This is how I know it's stiff enough, if I lift the mixer and the icing is still on the whip without dripping. It's done. It's something you have to try and get your own met...

what a cute cake.......how did you stablized your icing so well, I tried making a batch of whipped icing unfortunately it didn't hold up very well. Do you have any advice?
