First Gumpaste Flowers
Final project for my gumpaste flowers class. I really enjoyed it! And I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. I made some tulips and carnations, too, but it was too much to add to the corsage. I'll upload a separate pic of them.

I have been "playing around" with gumpaste flowers also, so I can really appreciate your efforts. Nicely done! (What color did you use on the leaves, they look very realistic!

Thank you all for your kind comments! This was a Wilton class I took at the Michaels where I work. The calla lily uses the tulip leaf cutter, you cut off the bottom 1/4 or so for the petal.
ps - the leaves are juniper green gumpaste, brushed with foliage green and brown luster dusts. The calla lily isn't taught as part of the official Wilton course, but our instructor was kind enough to show us how to make it.
These are very nice. My only suggestion would be that you purchase silicone veiners for the petals to make them look more like a natural flower. I think you will be very pleased with the results.
Thanks, Shirley. Yes, I can forsee a few gumpaste supply purchases in my future! I agree, they look a little "flat" but I figured I'd try out the basics and see if I enjoyed it enough to pursue it further. I enjoyed it!
