Graduation Cake With Fondant Cap And Diploma

Graduation Cake With Fondant Cap And Diploma on Cake Central

This was a half sheet with a fondant/gumpaste cap and fondant diploma . I used edible markers and luster dust for the writing. The only thing inedible is the tassle, which I purchased. Thanks for those who inspired this cake in the gallery...there are several.

Oh my goodness! I just got a call for a grad cake and had a very similar idea, but I love yours much better. Would you mind if I use your design? Also, how in the world did you do the Diploma lettering? It's beautiful!

Thank you Standing. I let my fondant diploma dry for a day and then just looked at some fancy lettering on a diploma and used edible marker to copy-I wanted to trace it but couldn't see it through the fondant. After the writing was dry, I used gold and silver luster dusts mixed with a little vodka to paint highlights.

My daughter is graduating on the 20th of June and I was just searching to get some type of idea on what to do. I would like to use that design for the top.
