When my stepdaughter turned 12, we had a fabulous Luau party for her in our backyard. I had spent the previous week making favor cookies for 45 guests - each friend took home a pineapple, palm tree, flip-flop, seashell, and dolphin cookie in a cellophane bag with a tag that said "Mahalo from Paige" and a gorgeous Hawaiian sunset in the background! WHen it came time to make the cake, I was burned out! Hula girl hung up her coconuts on the hammock and took a swim. (On the cake... NOT me!)
