Christening Cross
This is still one of my favorite cakes to date - mainly because I swore I'd never do another cake after this one (needless to say I have). This was a huge 3-layer sculpted cake frosted in vanilla buttercream (no crisco) that my friend wanted in the shape of a cross and placed directly onto this giant silver tray. With the weight of the cake and the tray, I thought I would have a stroke at the thought of flipping this thing! But it all worked out, and she was happy with the result.
Just beautiful - your cornelli lace is wonderful and the colors are so soft and pretty.
