Cupcakes And Gift Box

Cupcakes And Gift Box on Cake Central

These are simple cupcakes for a friend who just had a baby. I am trying to find ways to package cupcakes/cookies and so was messing around with paper, paper mache boxes and ribbons. I think a gerbera daisy would have looked a lot nicer, but the baby's middle name is Rose. I'm also experimenting with these paper holders instead of cupcake liners as these hold the cupcakes upright with no outward flare. Nice for that, but hard to get off the cupcake. And next time, no tinfoil! Lots to learn.

The cupcakes are beautiful and I love the presentation. I am with you about the foil though, maybe some tissue paper instead.

I wanted something that would not soak up grease from the icing - I think wax paper cut to size would work, not so sure about tissue paper for that. But it would look great!

looks beautiful! Wish someone would give me a gift like that :). They make food safe tissue paper. I bought some last year at a dollar store in a really pretty pattern. The texture was more like wax paper but not as stiff and crinkly.
