Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments! The cupcakes are all buttercream (tip 18 for fur and 12 for the eyes) except for the mouths, which are fondant. I used a small circle cutter, and then just trimmed the top of the circle off.

Oh my son loves cookie monster and has been asking for a cookie monster cake and I couldn't think how to get the mouth to look just right! DUH Fondant! Thanks for the great idea. They are fantastic!
