Hi cakedecor - its covered in ready roll icing (all dyed with food colouring to suit). I must admit I found the icing quite difficult because of the shape of the cakes - if it does crack around the edges (mine did!) mix up some icing sugar with food colouring and cover the patches. Hope this helps!!!

This is a GREAT first attempt. I'm dying to try a topsy turvey cake, but don't have the nerve yet!
