These two characters are waiting to be placed onto a Christening Cake that I shall complete in a few days time. Piglet and Pooh will be joining them on the cake along with some balloons. I'm looking forward to putting it together and I shall share the end result with you soon.
:o OMgosh!! I LUV LUV LUV Eeyore!! The baby is adorable as well, but I am a HUGE Eeyore fanatic! I'm actually sitting here thinking while looking at an eeyore photo holder, "how can I make that?" then this gets posted. Mind if I save this for future reference? Please post entire cake when finished..I LUV IT!! :D
For the mouth and this expression I use a round piping nozzle with a wide tip and push a smile into the face first of all, then I dip a small paintbrush into glue and squeeze the excess out before running the brush along the line and gently pulling as I do so to tease the bottom lip down and make a wider smile. Push the end of the paintbrush into the corner of the smile to make it look a bit cheeky. Wait til it's dry before applying a little powder colour. The teeth are minute bits of paste glued on.
Absolutely unbelievable!!! They are fantastic. How large are the figures? Are both figures sugarpaste (fondant) or are they mixed with gumpaste to allow for better sculpting? I just love them.
I mix some cmc gum powder to the paste to make modelling paste, to strengthen and make the models dry solid and keep their shape. I don't mix pastes but you can do!

The face is all sugarpaste. The eyelashes and brows are painted with a fine brush and paste colour mixed with a little alcohol.
