I used the template from the Wilton Sports Ball pan. I cut them out & just used them to trace around the fondant. As for the sagging, I buttercreamed the ball first while it was frozen... Thats why the fondat looks wet. It was humid in my house & the cake starting to defrost.
That's pretty impressive. I can't imagine how you got those fondant pieces to stick to the sides of the ball without falling off or sagging. Great job!
