Horsey, Horsey!

Horsey, Horsey! on Cake Central

This little horse in a field (!) looks a bit like my little pony but wasn't particularly meant to!

Hi, love your work, you are so talented... If you don't me asking, what type fondant do you use? All your cakes always looks so flawless!!

I use Regalice Professional Sugarpaste made by Renshaw Scott. I buy it in 1 kg packets and buy mostly white but for strong colours I buy red, black and green already coloured. You can never achieve this strength of colour adding to white.

Kudos to you ... You are an amazing decorator, love looking at all your cakes... Very inspiring for everyone I'm sure....

The eyes on this horse are made from sugarpaste (fondant) and shaped with my fingers. The little white dot is white colour power mixed with alcohol and I used my smallest brush to apply the dot! The lashes are painted on with paste colouring. The brushes I use are sable hair and start from size 00 which is like 2 hairs!! I used a size 0 for this one though....3 hairs! ha ha ha
