The crane is origami made from a square piece of very thin MMF. Very pleased this worked!! Gold luster dust adorns the crane and top of the cake. I spilled some and had to make it look intentional. :)

FINALLY@@ i have searched "origami crane fondant" and all kinds of combinations to see if there was a way to do this.. i have actually folded the 1000 and taken them to hiroshima and wanted to make a cake for the people i travlelled with when we took my cranes and thought it was a perfect theme!! thanks for the inspiration!!!
