Brimming With Roses on Cake Central

I'm so happy that I finally got to make this one. I've wanted to make this cake since the first day I saw it on the cover of the Wilton book. Banana cake with buttercream icing. Royal icing roses.

Looks beautiful! Have you tried making roses from buttercream? I made one like that for my friends bridal shower and it was so easy to cut through the warmed up roses! I must say, your roses are an image of perfection!

Thank you all for such flattering comments! Hi Patricia, I thought about doing the roses in bc but decided against it only because the "royal" lets me move/adjust the roses on the cake as much as I like.

Absolutely STUNNING roses! VERY well made. I made one of those cakes a long time ago - and like you, couldn't wait to make it when I first saw it. I now use the picture on my business cards. Mine was a little lighter shade of pink, though.

Oh my gosh ... this cake is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! The roses and scrollwork are perfect! Love the pinks! YOUR cake should be on the cover of the Wilton book!!!!!!

Ok, I'm sitting here reading the forums and see your aviator and just HAD to get a better look at that cake! WOW that is some stunning decadent & fabulously beautiful cake!! You must be proud! Gorgeous!

Your roses are beautiful. They even have the slight curl on the edges ~ GREAT! As far as the big picture, you must have a really good digital camera. My pics are large too and I figured that's why mine are big too.
