In community album: Whimsical / Topsy-Turvy Cakes
The bride wanted an understated slant to her cake. But she did want the wild decorations. Iced in buttercream. All handmade flowers and monogram. Marshmallow fondant accents. My first time doing a monogram and a topsy turvy. Everything was edible on this cake. I live in a very conservative area, this cake caused quite a stir at the reception. It was quite a challenge. I admire all of you that pull these off so well.

Thanks so much for your comments, I am self taught, but after joining this site, I find I have such great mentors and brains to pick. Especially you, Antonia74, love your work, I have many of your cakes in my favorites and your website bookmarked.

Thanks. No classes were available in my area when I started this hobby. I have had to rely on books and lots of trial and error. But now I have found this site, so I have lots of help available to me now!
