Mother's Day Cupcake Bouquet

Mother's Day Cupcake Bouquet on Cake Central

This for my grandmother for Mother's Day. It was also my first attempt on a cupcake bouquet. I really need to work on securing my flowers. I had a couple fall off on the way to her house. So, for anyone who views this who can offer some advice please, I'm all ears (eyes).

Beautiful cake, I put a tiny drop of frosting on the bottom of the cupcake paper when attaching the cupcakes to stop them from sliding off the picks! Did you pipe roses right on the cupcakes ? And are they minis?

Thank you all for your nice comments. rustysmom, I did pipe the roses onto the cupcakes and yes they are minis. Actually my cupcakes stayed on fine but two of my roses slid off the tops of the cupcakes.

when I do mine I frost the mini cc with a thin layerr of bc and then pipe on the roses, then hold the cc in place on the foam and stab a toothpick down through the center of the rose as far as I can without smudging the rose, then I take a tip #1 and put the hole over the tip of the toothpick and shove it down into the rose center so you can't see it!

Thank you all. I did ice the minis before I did the roses and I did do the roses directly on the cakes (I did not use a flower nail). I did not chill them before I left, maybe that's the trick I need to try next time.
