This is actually a baptism cake....my first...my first roses. I tried using the glitter dust...but the lighting in the kitchen shows the places where the brush touched. My friend was happy with it...but i don't think that she'd say anything bad.
Would love some honest critiquing from you guys! Thanks for looking!
oh, forgot to mention, yellow scratch cake with buttercream, white chocolate cross...
I think you did a awesome job!!!
A beautiful, lush cake, love your writing, too! Maybe your icing for the roses needs to be stiffer? Still looks so pretty.
funny you should mention the roses, did them ahead of time, they are stiff as a board! But the leaves that i tried to put inbetween the roses, they just refused to be leaves....leaves are my enemy..have always been. Leaves and daisies! My practices are spent mostly on leaves.
Anyone have any tips for that glitter dust? I feel like I'm blinking the stuff! ha ha
Tip 352 is the best tip for leaves in my opinion.....sorry can't help with the glitter dust.
thanks for the tip....the problem i have with the leaves is that the tips with the vein line always separates the icing and so when i stop pressure and let go, the leaf has 2 points that don't come together rather than one...can anyone help with that
