Dora The Explorer on Cake Central

10" & 6" BC icing with Fondant accents. First time making the flowers on wires and I LOVE it! So much fun!

Thank you so much for the kind words!! I am noticing that the border looks almost blue in the pic but it was the dora purple. Digital camera!?! Thanks again.

I have never done wires either... can you tell me what you used and any tips or suggestions? This is a great cake

Thanks Everyone! Tonja - I used floral wire but the straight wire not the wrapped wire. After letting the cut out fondant flowers dry I glued the wire on to the back with melted white chocolate. I thought about just inserting the wire into the fondant but I had to tranpsort this cake to New Orleans and I wanted to make sure that the flowers were not going to move. Fun and very, very easy.

this is beautiful! i am trying to get started in the cake business. out of curiosity, how much would you charge for a cake like this?
