I am in the military full time and I do just about all of the cakes for my company function. This one was for my new commander. It is our company guidon. I took a picture of another guidon so you can compare. This was also my first time carving a cake and although simple it took me a few hours to start...Needless to say I was nervous. Anyway to the cake it is vanilla pound cake filled with buttercream. The crosspistols are edible icing. Comments are welcome as this is my first day on the site.
