This is just a better shot of the seashell cake, the other pic. didn't show any details on the fondant seashells. Seashells decorated with petal and luster dusts.
Thanks for the comments, beachcakes, I used the viva papertowel and then computer paper to finish it off. The servers at the reception hall kept asking if they had to take off the fondant before they cut it. I was pretty excited to tell them it was only BC. :)
Sorry kiddiekakes, not fully understanding, do you mean the board it is on? The board is covered in white fondant, the actual cake is done in BC, I tried to make it look like fondant. The color of the cake is very light celadon green. Hope this answers your question:)
Probably just the pic where you're not seeing some flaws. I use the wilton BC recipe, I have made a few cakes since and they are not as fondant looking, but I'll keep practicing. Also, I just realized it may look more like fondant b/c it has color to it.

Great job! Certainly looks like fondant!
Great!! really love the detail.
Looks great! I think it's cute with the fireplace in the background of a seashell cake. You did a fantastoic job!
Wow! Great cake! Did you use a mold for the shells?
Yes, I used fondant molds and a few plastic candy molds to get the different sizes.
Beautiful!!! Is the base fondant a pale blue?? Looks wonderful!!
