Australian Native Flowers

6 inch dark chocolate mud cake with whipped ganache in the centre. Covered in chocolate fondant for colour more than taste. Flowers on top are australian native wattle (yellow balls) bottle brush (red) and waratah (red). All gumpaste apart from the bottle brush strings which are made of cotton and dipped in gumpaste glue so they would stand upright. Fondant rope at bottom pushed through clay gun. All comment and suggestions welcomed.

I love the contrast of the colors. The flowers are great! It would look great with a red and chocolate rope too I bet and maybe a small yellow flower at the bottom. Very pretty cake.

Good suggestions thanks.... I was worried it was going to look a bit christmas like if I used red in the bottom rope. I like your idea about the flower at the bottom, that would have been a nice finsih. THanks
