Cars Lightning Mcqueen (Fbct) on Cake Central

My 1st FBCT. The car and the checkered border are done using the Frozen Buttercream Transfer technique.

Thank you all ~ this is a 12 x 18. I used 5 transfers (1 car, 4 checkered borders). I didn't put the extra icing on the back like the instructions suggest -- bad idea on my part. The tranfers tore and I had to do some repair work. Next time I'll do it like the instructions.

this cake is way cool I need to do one for my great nephew for his B-Day and I have been wanting to do the transfer so I might have to try it you made it look easy Looks Great

TLC_Cakes: On the internet. I sent it to Paint in Accessories and chose the flip task to reverse the picture. That way I didn't have to worry about the #95 being backwards.

nice job. what size of cake did you use? was the car/checkered border all one transer or seperate transfers?

kaychristensen ~ I made my 2nd fbct the other day. It was even easier than this one. Instead of making smaller separate transfers like I did on this cake, I made one big transfer to fit the entire top of the cake. It's in my photos (called Stick People Tree of Love). It just flipped right off the paper. I smoothed it (with Viva), neatened the edges, put a border on, and it was done.

This is soooo cute!!! How did you do this? Can you tell me where did you get the picture? How did you make tires that black? I'm always having a hard time making a black BTC really black. Thanks!

I love this cake a lot!! would you mind to pm me the sight as well? I am also a bit of a newby with decorating , so could you tell me how i do a FBTC? Is that anything like doing a transfer with piping gel? I learned about that in the Wilton classes, but they didn't talk about FBTC
