Rach0725: I didn't put anything on the bottom to support it, but I did stick a few bamboo skewers in the middle to secure it to the other cake (dowels would work best but on the island, skewers were all I had). I also placed waxed paper on top of the green "field" before I decorated the ball. It was easier than decorating the ball then placing it onto the cake. If you need any other help on the cake, let me know. No problems!

Did you have to put anything under the soccer ball for support? I am wanting to make this cake for my little boy. It is so cute.
