Sugar Bear, Front--Made At Wilton School Cakes For Catering

Just finished 5 days of Wilton classes in Chicago. Made this 2 tier stacked real cake--pound cake with buttercream and raspberry filling. Fondant covered with fondant decorations, 50/50 bow, and my design handmade gumpaste bear. Loved the classes--learned borders, flowers, fondant, buttercreams, fillings, etc. May have to re-make this for Valentine's Day!

Thanx!No to teaching-just love the learning right now. Hard to give exact time, but I'd estimate "start to finish", but not including bear, about 3hrs. Bear took about 2hrs. I bought a Sculpey clay book with cute figures in it and thought I'd try my hand at it. Translates well with gum paste, fondant, 50/50. I'll do more of these--too, too much fun!
