In album: monogram
This was the groom's cake at my wedding. It's chocolate buttercream with melted chocolate scrolls and leaves.

love this!!! how was the monogram done to stay up? was it chocolate or candy melts?
dolcesunshine20 11/17/06 at 5:44am
It was candy melts on a stick. If I'd known then what i know now, I probably would have made it a little differently.

how did you get the cake to stay put it being turned like that and what did you use for support and the sizes of cake pans you use in order not to have no hang over??

Each of the tiers is on it's own board. I just cut dowells the height of the tier below it and placed the board on top. As far as the sizes I think that I used 6, 10, and 14.

I'm glad to see that someone else likes working with chocolate/melts verses buttercream or fondant for decorations. It looks fabulous!
