Maira on Cake Central

This cake is my favorite so far. Ivory colored fondant, royal icing scrolls painted with pearl dust, copper fondant band, leonida roses. Cakes from top were Almond w/mango curd and mango buttercream, Coconut cream pie cake, Chocolate w/Amaretto btcm & apricot presereves and last was the same almon/mango combo.

The sizes were 6,8,10 & 12. Leonida is a variety of rose, which petals are terracotta in the inner petal and ivory on the back side of the petal.

Such an amazing job, impressive, But than again all of your work is amazing. What size tip did you use for the scroll? Your scrolls are perfect. Is it just me but the smaller the tip the harder it is to manuever, I haven't gone lower than a 4 tip. But anyway again this is awesome.

Thanks! I actually used an Ateco #3 (wilton is wider), and I was a nerve wreck when piping them...This is my first time piping scrolls, and I can't pipe a straight line to save my life! As for the color, I used Ivory, not sure what brand because NY Cake put their label on it...

Absolutely exquisite! When you made the mango buttercream, did you use a liquid flavoring or fresh mango? Where do you buy your flavorings? Thanks.

Lately I have had several anniversaries and this color is just beautiful ... if you ever figure out what brand and color it is let us know! The cake is just lovely!!!
