My Version Of Disney's Cars - My First Fbct Cake!

My Version Of Disney's Cars - My First Fbct Cake! on Cake Central

I made this today for my newphew Alex's 4th birthday. This is my first FBCT, and I learned several things. First, I had read on CC not to make my transfers too thin or they would break, so I over did it. They were too thick. Secondly, they weren't smooth as I expected. You could see 'swirl' lines where I didn't fill it enough I guess. Any opinions?????

oh, they are on a graham cracker crumb 'road' and I couldn't figure out how to get the 'rusted' look for the tow truck. The cake is a dark chocolate butter cake with chocolate ganache filling. Regular BC icing, with a little bit of cherry jello powder mixed into the red food coloring to offset the nasty taste of Wilton red. I covered the cake boards with 'cars' gift wrap paper and clear contact paper. Sorry for the reflection off the contact paper!
