It was really hard to get the top edge smooth on this cake since it was rounded. I would have really liked to have used fondant for it but that wasn't what was ordered...

How did you get the colour of the writing?? 8O
well, with the writing, I took the leftover gold and added a little red and a tiny bit of brown...there's gold dust all over too:)
