With the exception of some nuts, washers, the threaded rod running up the center and the plate that the "shade" is resting on, it is completely edible. I formed the different sections using royal icing, fondant, molded sugar and pulled sugar. The "shade" is the only part that is cake. It was iced in b/c. The lamp stood 23 1/2 inches tall. I made this one to enter in the 2004 Wilton's Your Take On Cake competition.
