White Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries Baby Shower Cake

White Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries Baby Shower Cake on Cake Central

White cake with fresh strawberries and Pastry Pride filling. Covered with ivory-tinted Pastry Pride. I had royal icing flowers to place on the cake, but the dipped strawberries seemed to carry the cake perfectly without them! Less is more?

Pastry Pride is a frozen liquid you can find at Smart & Final. Thaw the carton (you would typically buy the quart size) in the refrigerator. Shake it up then pour it in your mixing bowl. Start the mixer out low (no splattering). As it thickens, increase the speed. It's ready to spread when it starts to collect more on the wire beater and pulls away from the sides. One quart is usually enough for a 9X13 cake. Usually costs around $2.30/qt.

I used a large star tip to do the sides of the cake. Start at the bottom, pipe to the top. Finish with swirled stars (I used a #22 for that).

Yes, it's pre-sweetened. Sometimes I add up to 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla (per carton) as it's whipping. It's good just like it is, though.
