What a lot of work but sooooo worth it.

Once again cute! I have a question about the icing recipe you posted that uses cream of tartar. How does it taste and does it dry really hard? Also, I notice some cookies don't have outlines. Do you still outline but immediately flow in or do you just start from the center and work the icing to the edges? Lots of questions but I'm trying to perfect my skills. Thanks Tiffany rlctic@yahoo.com

You're cookies are lovely as usual......how do you make it look like there is no outline...I've been trying to figure that out too!

The icing tastes AMAZING because of the vanilla flavour of the meringue powder! I actually don't do the outline first anymore! I just use icing that is ever so slightly thicker, and pipe it on in one move instead. First I outline then fill in really quickly, then I shake the cookie back and forth with my hand to get it all smooth. Try it!! It saves hours of work and just looks cleaner.

Thank you! I am about to make some now and wanted to know. I will post pictures when done. Antonia, my icing came out with a dull finish. I think I didn't mix it well enough (ie didn't scrape the bowl in between)

I don't know what to suggest. My icing is matte, not shiny. Did you thin it our with enough water? It should be the consistency of pancake batter, let's say.
