You know, mine was awful when I first started. I think it just takes practice. Someone once told me that it helps if you take a calligraphy class. Maybe try that? I'm sorry I don't have any good suggestions for you.

This is so cute! Where did you find the tool that makes the waves in the icing? I've searched but haven't had any luck...

Thanks Twins5485! The tool is called a cake comb, and I usually use the metal triangular one by Ateco.

Thanks! It's icing ... I just used a 48 tip (basketweave) and made the squiggle. I was pleasantly surprised that it turned out so even. :)
