My First Gumpaste Rose
I was playing around with gumpaste for the first time and made a couple of roses. I still need to figure out how to color them but i had fun trying to make the rose. I am not sure it looks quite like a rose though, maybe a different type of flower. Any suggestions to make it look better?
I think it looks like a gardenia - I think it is very nice. I have never worked with gumpaste so no suggestions here!

Wow! Nice job. Better than my first attempt! Suggestion would be to wrap the petal around the base more and to make the top of the base a little more pointy. I roll it in a ball in my hand and then roll on one edge to make a "bowling pin" look. Also, try putting corn starch down on the foam, you'll be surprised how much easier it is to work with!
