50Th Wedding Anniversary

50Th Wedding Anniversary on Cake Central

This design is in a Wilton book. The diagonal lines are a lot simpler to make that they look like they are. You just ice the cake, cut a strip of waxed paper to fit the area you do not want colored, and then put a light layer of colored icing where you want it, and then take of the waxed paper. Amazingly you'll end up with a nice clean, straight line.

Great job! I've seen this cake in my mag, and I have always wanted to try it. Excellent job with it! Going into my favorites. :D

Beautiful! I, too, have wanted to make this cake but have been scared. One day I'll work up the courage.

Thanks you all!! The Wilton magazine gives much better/clearer directions. Practice on one tier. You'll be surprised how easy it is.

Love your cake! I have done this pattern in purple and white just because it looks so great and it is easier than you think. Again, great job!
