Great job! Is there any reason you choose gum paste over fondant? I have never used gum paste, but I want to try. Your cake is awesome.

I cover the cakes in fondant so that you have that nice chewy consistency for eating. The designs are done in gum paste because they dry harder than the fondant, crack less, and I usually do them a few days before actually covering the cake.
