Cars Movie

Cars Movie on Cake Central

I was asked to do a cake from the cars movie for a friend's 1st birthday. After much internet research I came up empty-handed. I had to look to my own brain for inspiration - Yikes! After I made this cake, I found that Wilton now has a Cars cake pan. These are yellow cakes with Buttercream Icing (althought the road is chocolate Buttercream).

WOW - That is so good! You have the shape perfect! Did you use the 3D Cruiser pan & alter the cake? I just uploaded my CARS cake & saw yours there too! I like his expression too, great job! =) (and actually, I didn't find a lot online either, I guess since the movie is so new, but then I went to Pixar.com, which had some good pictures to work from). I love yours though!

Thanks OCakes! I just saw yours too. I guess we were uploading at the same time. Great Job!!!! I was in a store and saw the 3D cruiser pan. I thought that surely I could cut it up and make it work. I wish I had preplanned the spoiler on the back. I ended up stacking three layers across the back from my star tip. I would like for it to have been taller. The expression is from a McD's Happy Meal Toy.
