This is the cake that occupied my week! I'm so glad this thing is finished. It's not really my choice of style and I was so stressed out trying making sure I got all the plastic to the wedding!!
WOW! NO WONDER YOU WERE SO BUSY ALL WEEK! Your hard work paid off, you did an amazing job. I imagineit took you as long toset up all the pieces as it took to actually bake and decorate the cakes!...lol. I bet the bride was really pleased. Pat yourself on the back! ;-D
I HAVE A QUESTION CAN YOU EMAIL ME AND TELL ME HOW MUCH YOU CHARGE FOR A CAKE LIKE THIS i,m new at decoration cakes and i,m fixen to make 1 like this and dont knwo what to cahrge for it heres my email address toms_wife_000@yahoo.com
You did an absolutely wonderful job on this, but could the bride have picked a better location for your masterpiece. Do all the wedding pictures show the extinguisher in the back? That is so sad because this is just wonderful...have I said that enough yet?
bertie- I made royal icing roses for the first two nights of the week, then I made frosting, then Thursday I baked....Friday I baked....I think for about 20 hours total! msauer- yeah, don't you just love that fire extinguisher?? There was really no way to get a picture without it!
I do not prefer this kind of cake either. However, this is beautiful. I am doing a fountain cake soon for a bride. This cake has inspired me. Thank you for posting it
