When you said it took you a whole week,what did you do first to keep everything fresh?

You did an absolutely wonderful job on this, but could the bride have picked a better location for your masterpiece. Do all the wedding pictures show the extinguisher in the back? That is so sad because this is just wonderful...have I said that enough yet?

bertie- I made royal icing roses for the first two nights of the week, then I made frosting, then Thursday I baked....Friday I baked....I think for about 20 hours total! msauer- yeah, don't you just love that fire extinguisher?? There was really no way to get a picture without it!

You did a great job! I agree with msauer a better location or screen for the extinguisher was needed. This is one thing a bride must notice.

I do not prefer this kind of cake either. However, this is beautiful. I am doing a fountain cake soon for a bride. This cake has inspired me. Thank you for posting it :wink:
