1St Wedding Cake
French vanilla cake with Buttercream Dream icing. Starburst Roses. I made my SIL a cake with Starburst roses and took it to her work place and one of her employees saw it and wanted the Starburst roses for his wedding cake. He actually ordered the cake not the bride! He loved it and so did his mom. I really need some opinions whether they be good or bad. Thanks for looking.
Very nice. I really like the starburst roses, the colors are great. I'm going to try it.
Forgot to add that one of Snowy811's cakes was the inspiration for this one.
I think its simple and pretty. I've never tried starburst roses, can see that I should, they're pretty
How do you make the starburst roses? Do you microwave them for a bit, and then knead and roll them?
It usually takes about 5 and a half starburst and I microwave them for 5 seconds and tear all but one in half and I use the one that's left whole for the center and then I tear a piece off of one of the halves to wrap around the tip. I then flatten out the remaining halves with my thumb for petals. I hope this makes sense.
The starburst roses are very clever!
