Whimsical Bee Themed Birthday Cake
This is my first whimsical cake. I fell in love with this design after browsing through cake decorating links. I believe it was Sweet Creations that originally designed this cake. I'm quite pleased with the end result, my girlfriend who was the recipent of the cake was blown away, and what more can you really ask for?! I can't wait to make another!
Wow, the colors are awesome, it just all goes together, great job.
ok.. I absolutely love this!
beautiful cake
I love this. How did you do the bees?
Very cute....I love the design as well....how did you do your daisies? They are great - I love the centres!
I love your cake! Very cool design and the colors look great!
What a cheerful cake !!!
truly a cute and colorful cake. What fun!
Just love it! Such a cool cake...
beautiful cake..are the daisies real? looks great!
Thank you, thank you! I'm afraid to say as a novice cake decorator that I have yet to learn how to make flowers! The daisies are fake and the bumble bees are just little wooden figures I bought at the local craft store. I really had trouble getting the fondant/gumtex bow to stay put. The icing on the cake is a cream cheese, but in any case how do you get a fondant/gumtex bow that large to stay put on a soft icing cake? I ended up having to stick toothpicks in it. Any suggestions would be great!
